Mowic is a Swedish company situated in Stockholm. It was established in early 1999 and delivers wireless mobile data communication as well as systems and components for GPS-positioning. Their Mobitex network covers Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö and is to be expanded to also cover the main roads in between. The system operates on the 450 MHz frequency bands and is mainly used for public transport, telemetry, taxi dispatch and public safety.
