The resources in this section are for developers. Mobitex Technology can provide a number of tools, many of them free of charge, to assist software developers and hardware designers. Please note that these tools are intended to be used in a development environment and are not suitable for end users. MDOT drivers
In this section you will find protocol descriptions, and drivers for MDOT/MPAK implementations for fixed server applications.

For a description of the MDOT protocol, please see the open or licensed version of the MIS.

The MDOT DLL is a dynamic-link library that implements the MDOT protocol, allowing applications with no knowledge of MDOT to connect to a Mobitex switch and communicate with modems. The MDOT DLL can be used on Windows platforms. Source code for the DLL is available upon request.

This package contains source code and documentation for a MASC driver written in Java. The source code is at your disposal and free to use. The MASC driver features functionality for sending and receiving radio messages as well as support for a set of other MASC commands. In addition to the MASC driver, the installation also includes a sample application that utilizes the MASC driver. In order to compile and execute the sample application, a Java 2 Software Developer's Kit (such as Java 2 SDK Standard Edition, v1.3) must be installed.

The MASC DLL is a dynamic-link library that implements the MASC protocol, allowing applications with no knowledge of MASC to communicate with Mobitex modems. The MASC DLL can be used on Windows and Pocket PC 2002.

Downloading software (MobiOne)
In order to run the firmware and configuration files in this section, you need to download the MobiOne software below. In the security level 1 version of the MobiOne software it is possible to enter a MAN-number. To obtain the level 1 version software, please send an e-mail to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and describe why you need it. You will then receive the software via e-mail.
